Right, so the Aadi month has been like the December season. We have had two weeks of Thurs-Sun bhajans! It is so tiring. I got no idea how the rest are getting their butts out of bed every morning and going to work or school! (Yes I am at work, blogging!)
It's all worth it of course. I couldn't go to Sujesh house on Thurs so dragged Suba with me to Tekka. We wanted to get stuff for the Chokris prayers on Fri! I was damn excited about it. :)
We were walking around and around trying to find souvenirs and in the end just settled for glass bangles. lol. Then we were at Ananda Bhavan to get dinner where we got teased by two stupid workers who apparently thought they were way cool. *Pukes*
I had to wait bloody 20 mins for TWO APPAMS! I mean how long does it take to make an appam. The guy had poured the mixture into the pan and started doing something else and chit-chatting with a co-worker (who had already irritated us at the main counter as he had tried to be cheeky with us).
Suba and I waited and waited and waited and waited... Finally Suba looked at me and went, "Don't you think that your appam is probably burnt by now?" Lol. I was like YA!
Then she bent down and saw that the stove was not turned ON! @*&$(!^(%*)
We decided to be nice and still wait. Then one of them looked at us and said, "I think your appams will take another 30 mins." I stared at him and told him to keep them himself. I would have walked away if 1) I had not already paid for them and 2) I was not craving for appams!
So I still WAITED. Finally the guy took out the appams, packed them, tied the rubber band around and then put it on the table. STILL WAITING!! He did not put them in a plastic bag and hand it over to me!!!! Of all the times I had to crave for appams then.
I kept nudging Suba to ask him if that packet was ours. THEN he finally looks at us and says, "Are the appams for you or her?" directing at Suba and me. Suba just signalled him to give the bag and we were off while they were there giving their stupid cheeky smiles. EEEEESh. This is why I HATE to go TEKKA without D or my parents. STUPID FOREIGN WORKERS. (I do not care if I sound prejudiced).
Friday bhajans was a blast. Then came Saturday and I had to go for tuitions. Then bhajan in the evening at 666! It was fun as we had it in the void deck and as usual SP rocked! Sunday morning was at Gayatri house and then evening we went to Telok Blangah. We had to stand and sing due to the lack of space. Lol. We were laughing at one another and enjoying ourselves.
We got another set of bhajans coming up this weekend as well. Fri-Sun. I can't wait for Sun as it is in JB. It's fun as long as I am going over the seas!
It's already 1.40pm. Lunch break is over!
